Leonardi had previously provided details of this new dive to a depth of 3,600 meters. Now, the specialist clarified that maintenance work on the equipment has suffered unexpected delays.
"I'm sorry to bring bad news... maintenance is still delayed," Leonardi said in an Instagram story. He added, "The broadcast will likely begin around midnight."
The long-awaited start of live exploration of the depths of the Atlantic was thus postponed.
